Liz Alessio Announces 2024 Campaign for Napa County Supervisor

Napa, CA — Napa City Councilwoman Liz Alessio today announced her campaign for the Napa County Board of Supervisors, District 2 seat, in the March 2024 election.

In announcing her campaign, Alessio stated “Serving on the Napa City Council has been one of the great honors of my life. I am very proud of the work we have done to improve the quality of life in the City of Napa.”

“Napa residents deserve a County Government that is well-functioning and effective. We need energetic leadership that can fight for climate solutions, fire resiliency, and safe neighborhoods,” Alessio added. “I believe I can be that voice on the Board of Supervisors and I look forward to making that case to voters this March.”

Alessio was elected as the top vote recipient to the Napa City Council at-large in 2018 and was reelected to represent District 1 in 2022 and continues to serve all in Napa. While serving on the Council, Alessio has advanced substantive policies aimed at increasing housing opportunities, providing more permanent supportive housing for the homeless, and investing in safe streets, sidewalks and pathways.

As Chair of the Napa County Climate Action Committee, Alessio has been a regional leader on climate action across jurisdictions to reduce carbon emissions and invest in climate mitigation.

Alessio Chairs the Napa Valley Transportation Authority and serves on the following boards, committees, and commissions: Napa – Solano Area Agency on Aging Oversight Board, Napa County Youth Opportunities Commission as an Alternate Board Member, Napa County Suicide Prevention Council, Napa Mobile Home and Mobile Home Park Owners’ Committee, Napa County Flood Control & Water Conservation District Board Alternate, Marin Clean Energy Board Alternate, the Napa County Historical Society Board (former Executive Director), and Operation With Love From Home Care Packages for U.S. Service Members.

In addition, Alessio has served on the Napa County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board, the Association of Bay Area Governments General Assembly (ABAG), the City of Napa Nomination Committee, the Napa Subregion Housing Allocation Committee (NSHAC) and former Co-Chair for the Napa Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Dementia Committee

Prior to serving on the City Council, Alessio spent 20 years in the healthcare industry, including 10 years specifically working on public health and community relations. Alessio has also been a small business owner in the local tourism industry. Alessio’s father was in law enforcement, her mother a retired banker, and great-great grandfather was a Napa County Supervisor from 1901-1904, 120 years ago.

Alessio is married to Jess Hudak, has three adult children, and 3 grandchildren.

Alessio will run for Napa County Supervisor District 2, currently held by Supervisor Ryan Gregory. District 2 consists of the western portions of the City of Napa reaching outside of city limits from Oakville Grade to Buhman Avenue in Napa.
