About Liz Alessio

Prior to entering public service, Liz spent 20 years in the healthcare industry, including 10 years specifically working on public health and community relations. Liz has also been a small business owner in the local tourism industry. Liz’s father was in law enforcement, her mother a retired banker, and great-great grandfather was a Napa County Supervisor from 1901-1904, 120 years ago. Liz is married to Jess Hudak, has five adult children, and three grandchildren.

Liz Alessio was elected as the top vote recipient to the Napa City Council at-large in 2018 and was reelected to represent District 1 in 2022. As a City Councilmember, Liz advanced substantive policies aimed at increasing housing opportunities, providing more permanent supportive housing for the homeless, and investing in safe streets, sidewalks and pathways.

In 2024, Liz was elected to the Napa County Board of Supervisors, representing District 2. As our community's voice on the board, Liz is advocating for solutions to key issues facing our community, such as homelessness, affordable housing, mental health and substance abuse, roads and infrastructure, creating jobs, improving wages, climate change, fire prevention and emergency preparedness.

Liz has been an active and positive presence in the community for decades, serving on several boards, coalitions, and committees. Some of Liz’s current positions include:
